Wow!  It has been a long time since I last posted on my blogs.  Big changes since then:  I retired in 2008 and moved from the warm 65-70 degree water of San Diego northward to the 50-55 degree water of Monterey Bay.  I'm still just 4 blocks from the beach though just more "cool"! My wife loves the new climate, and I'm still adjusting.  I must say that retirement suits me, especially in  Santa Cruz, a town surrounded by state beaches on the bay, and state parks to the north, east, and west!  I have been riding my bike on US 1 north along the ocean,  surf fishing the beaches for surf perch, and playing golf with the Monterey Bay Seniors Golf Association on various courses around the Monterey and San Francisco Bay  area.  And then came the PANDEMIC, and I find that I have more house time!  I'm still golfing and riding, and fishing, but not as much!  So I'm going to add blogging back into the mix.  I have had the urge to do some poems, take some pictures of this beautiful area to share, and add some good ole Santa Cruz liberal commentary to the blogosphere!  Tally ho!
